Our managing director, Matt Kay, and mascot, Cartime Tim, were delighted to visit Hazlehurst Primary School to present their prize and a few extra surprises following their recent competition win.

The students were voted as the winners in our recent cARTime competition, which saw budding artists from three primary schools go head-to-head to design a car’s exterior by drawing on four full size, specially wrapped Range Rovers.

The cars were then put on display in our showroom, with images of each posted on Facebook where a three-week public vote, which generated almost 1,500 votes, determined the overall winner.

Knowing how excited the students were about their win, we decided to visit the school with a Ferrari 458 Spider and professional photographer, who took photographs of the students in the supercar. Matt also attended Hazlehurst’s weekly assembly to present the school with their £500 prize money, accompanied Cartime Tim, who gave out goodie bags and certificates to the students, and posed for photographs.

Organised to celebrate the opening of our specialist 4x4 centre on Bell Lane, Bury, over 100 pupils aged four to 11 took part in the competition.

cartime’s managing director, Matt Kay, said: “After hearing how excited the students were about being named as the overall winners of cARTime, we wanted to do something a little bit different and thought the opportunity to have their photo taken in a Ferrari would provide a nice memento of their win.

“The competition received some great feedback and the cars certainly turned some heads in our showroom. We are delighted that the children enjoyed participating in the event – it was certainly something a little bit different to our normal competitions - and I’d like to thank all of the schools for their participation.”

Well done to all of the pupils at Hazlehurst on their win!
