Competition Terms and Conditions

"Score and Win £2,000" Promotion

1. Promoter

The promoter of this competition is Cartime ("the Promoter"), of Bell Lane, Bury, Greater Manchester, BL9 6HH

2. Eligibility

2.1 The competition is open to individuals aged 17 years or over who purchase a vehicle from the Promoter during the Promotion Period.

2.2 Employees of the Promoter, their immediate families, agents, or anyone professionally connected with the administration of the competition are not eligible to enter.

2.3 By participating in the competition, entrants agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

3. Promotion Period

3.1 The promotion will run from 12th June until 26th July ("Promotion Period").

3.2 Only vehicle purchases completed during the Promotion Period will qualify for entry.

4. How to Enter

4.1 Customers who purchase a vehicle during the Promotion Period will be offered one opportunity to participate in the penalty shootout challenge.

4.2 Each qualifying vehicle purchase entitles the purchaser to one penalty shootout attempt.

4.3 Participants will be invited to take five penalties.

4.4 The number of successful goals scored will be recorded by the Promoter.

4.5 No additional payment is required to participate in the competition beyond the qualifying vehicle purchase.

5. Qualification for the Prize Draw

5.1 At the end of the Promotion Period, all participants who have achieved the highest recorded score in the penalty shootout challenge will qualify for the final prize draw.

5.2 If only one participant achieves the highest score, that participant will automatically be entered into the prize draw.

5.3 If multiple participants achieve the same highest score, all such participants will be entered into the prize draw.

5.4 The Promoter's record of goals scored shall be final.

6. Prize

6.1 One winner will receive a cash prize of £2,000 (two thousand pounds sterling).

6.2 The prize is guaranteed and will not vary according to the number of entrants.

6.3 The prize is non-transferable and no alternative prize will be offered except where circumstances beyond the Promoter's control make this necessary.

6.4 The Promoter reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value if necessary.

7. Prize Draw

7.1 The prize draw will take place on 20th July. Three finalists will be selected at random and invited back to take part in the ""final' (date tbc) where they will participate in a penalty shootout in a standard football format, with 5 initial shots and then sudden death.

7.2 The Promoter reserves the right to confirm and publish the final draw date before the draw takes place.

7.3 The draw result will be final.

8. Winner Notification

8.1 The winner will be contacted using the contact details provided during the vehicle purchase process.

8.2 If the winner cannot be contacted within 7 days, or declines the prize, the Promoter reserves the right to conduct a further draw from the remaining eligible finalists.

9. Publicity

9.1 By entering the competition, participants agree that the Promoter may use their name, photograph, video footage, and likeness for promotional and marketing purposes relating to the competition without additional compensation.

9.2 The live draw and penalty shootout activities may be photographed or recorded.

10. Liability

10.1 Participants take part in the penalty shootout challenge at their own risk.

10.2 The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any loss, injury, damage, or disappointment suffered as a result of participating in the competition, except where such liability cannot be excluded by law.

10.3 The Promoter reserves the right to refuse participation where it believes a participant may be unable to safely take part.

11. Fraud and Fair Play

11.1 The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any participant who:

  • breaches these Terms and Conditions;
  • behaves in a disruptive, abusive, or unsafe manner;
  • attempts to manipulate the competition; or
  • provides false information.

11.2 The Promoter's decision regarding eligibility, scoring, qualification, and administration of the competition shall be final.

12. Data Protection

12.1 Personal data supplied during the competition will be processed by the Promoter solely for the administration of the competition and in accordance with applicable UK data protection legislation.

13. General

13.1 The Promoter reserves the right to amend, suspend, or cancel the competition where necessary due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control.

13.2 If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is found to be invalid, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

13.3 These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
