Meet Matt Kay, Director

cartime is an independent Bury-based business that has enjoyed unprecedented growth in the last few years; so much so, it is now one of the region’s most recognisable brands.

Matt Kay cartime

In 2012, cartime’s director Matt Kay rescued a failing franchise main-dealer in Bury. He transformed it into a dealership with a vision of doing things differently; and cartime was created.

In the beginning, there were just 4 employees. In the last four years, we have experienced rapid growth – to a team of 32 staff, each of which is expertly trained and passionate about cars. Our Bury showroom has gone from holding a modest fifty models to over four-hundred. You’ll now find one of the North West’s largest selection of prestige used cars on our forecourt.

Since cartime was formed, our main objective has been to give customers a ‘new way to buy a used car’. This means giving every one of our customers the best experience possible from the moment they walk into our showroom, until long after they have purchased their car. It’s why we put so much into our dedicated aftersales service – and why customers continually come back to cartime, time and time again.

It’s also the quality of our cars that sets us far apart from many of our competitors. We only sell prestige cars that have had no more than 1 previous owner. Every car that comes into our showroom is rigorously inspected to ensure it meets our exacting standards. Once it passes a 62-point check, it is given a full valet, service and MOT, bringing it as near to as ‘good as new’ as possible.

Our director, Matt Kay says: “At cartime, we know that in the long run, it is attention to detail and putting time into providing customers with a memorable experience that will help cartime continue to grow, through referrals, recommendations and repeat business. We look forward to welcoming customers, old and new, through our doors. Browse the site and see what you like, and when you’re ready for a test-drive just give us a call – we’re always on hand to help!”
