Main image for post: Introducing Our New Collection Centre

We’ve got some exciting plans on the horizon in the form of a shiny new collection centre, just down the road from our main showroom where the Bell Lane Car Centre currently sits.

We enlisted the help of Fletcher Smith, an architect’s practice who are responsible for designing buildings for some of the Europe’s biggest and best car dealerships. They designed the collection centre to have the look and feel of a luxury airport lounge, providing our customers with a relaxed and enjoyable environment where they can pick up their cars when they’re ready for collection.

Features include an indulgently comfy seating area, complete with iPads and other hi-tech features, as well as a community area with a help desk where people can seek advice about cars from our expertly-trained team. We’ve saved the best until last, with our four glass-plated rotating plinths. These will serve as display platforms, where cars will be placed as they are ready for collection, so that their new owners can admire them in all their gleaming glory before driving them away.

The £½ million plans are all part of our commitment to expanding cartime into one of the largest and best used-car dealerships in the North West, whilst providing our customers a new way to buy a used car. The plans have been submitted to the local council and are awaiting planning permission. Once permission is granted, we will hopefully begin building within the next 6 months.

As well becoming an attractive, iconic landmark within Bury, the collection centre will create around 15 new jobs at cartime, not to mention the investment it brings to the community. All work will be carried out by local contractors, so for builders, electricians and the rest that will be involved in building the centre, there are some busy times ahead!

To say that we’re excited about the new plans is an understatement, as it’s only going to improve the enjoyable service and overall customer experience we are able to provide. We’ll be sure to keep you posted as the project develops.
