All the team here at car supermarket cartime have been on the edge of our driving seats for weeks now, anxiously waiting for the next announcement from the Made in Bury Business Awards 2015. Our wait is finally over and we’re delighted to tell you – we’ve made the shortlist for not one but two fantastic categories!
The Made in Bury Business Awards is an annual event that celebrates the success of the diverse business community within Bury. The MIBBAs are now in their third year of recognising and rewarding local enterprises and the organisation is doing an excellent job of raising local entrepreneurial spirit.
Friday 16th October saw our Managing Director Matt Kay head down to Bury Town Hall, where a panel of judges put him through his paces. Matt was grilled on cartime’s applications but must have impressed – as cartime made it through as finalists for the Best in Class for Motoring and Transport Award and the Best in Class Retailer Award.
The esteemed panel of judges for both categories consists of some big business names in Bury. It includes Juliette Davenport, Business Centre Manager for Business Lodge in Bury; Graham Croston, Managing Director of GJ Plastics LTD and Craig Arnold, Sales Director from William Hare Group among many more. It also includes Mike Lamont, the RBS Director for Corporate Banking in Bury and the Chief Executive of Bury Council, Mike Owen.
We’ve fought off some tough competition, including last years’ winners in the Motoring and Transport category, established car retailer RRG Group. Obviously this is a real honour for cartime and we are delighted to have come this far. To the people of Bury and the surrounding areas, we would like to say thank you – for driving our success as a used-car supermarket.
Now that the shortlist has been announced, we’re looking forward to the 19th November, the night the Made in Bury Business Awards black-tie dinner and awards ceremony will take place – until then we’ll be down at cartime doing what we do best; offering you a new way to buy a used car.
